In a significant stride toward enhancing digital public service delivery, the Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) held a successful kickoff meeting for the Government Service Bus (GSB) Project on 8 April 2025. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from dotGOV Solutions—the project consultants—and officials from the Ministry of Finance.
ZMA was represented by its Executive Director, Director of Finance, Quality Assurance Manager, and members of the ICT Unit, who engaged in discussions to outline the roadmap for this transformative project.
The GSB Project aims to integrate all ZMA services into the Government Service Bus platform in alignment with the government’s broader digitization agenda. Once implemented, the system will streamline access to ZMA services by enabling users to submit service requests, make payments, generate receipts, and obtain certificates entirely through an online platform.
Speaking during the meeting, the ZMA Executive Director emphasized the importance of the project in modernizing service delivery and ensuring efficiency, transparency, and convenience for stakeholders. “This initiative marks a major milestone in our efforts to provide faster, more accessible, and customer-friendly services. We are committed to supporting the government’s vision of a digitally driven public sector,” he said.
The project also aligns with ZMA’s strategic objectives to leverage technology in improving quality infrastructure and supporting trade, consumer protection, and industrial development.
With the kickoff meeting setting the tone, ZMA and its partners are now moving forward with the implementation phase, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of users while maintaining high standards of service and data security.
The Agency looks forward to working closely with all stakeholders to make the GSB Project a success and bring about a new era of efficient digital service delivery in Zambia.
