The Board

The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) is governed by a Board of Directors, which is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the agency. The Board is made up of individuals with expertise in metrology, science, industry, and other relevant fields.

 

They are appointed by the Minister responsible for metrology and typically serve for a specific term. The Board is responsible for setting the agency’s overall policies and objectives, reviewing and approving its budget and business plan, and monitoring its performance. The Board also ensures that the ZMA operates in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and that it serves the needs of its stakeholders.

 

The Executive Director of the Agency reports to the Board and is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the agency. Overall, the ZMA Board plays an important role in providing oversight and guidance to ensure that the agency is able to deliver accurate and reliable measurements to support the development of the country.
